CDA Launches Feeder Bus Services to Improve Islamabad’s Public Transport

In a move aimed at enhancing Islamabad’s public transportation system, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced the launch of new feeder bus services. Approved by CDA Chairman and Chief Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa, this initiative aims to provide better connectivity and transportation options for residents.

New Routes for Enhanced Connectivity

Three major routes have been designated for the feeder bus service:

• Tarnol to Secretariat
• Bahria Town to Pirwadhai
• Rawat Chowk to Secretariat

These routes have been carefully planned to pass through key areas such as business districts, universities, and hospitals, ensuring convenient access for commuters to essential locations.

Modern Features for Commuter Convenience

To streamline the travel experience, CDA officials have been instructed to implement a passenger card system, offering weekly and monthly travel options. This approach is designed to provide flexibility and cost-efficiency for regular commuters.

Additionally, Randhawa emphasized the importance of technological integration, proposing the development of a mobile application to facilitate ticket booking and real-time bus tracking. This innovation will make commuting more convenient and efficient for passengers.
