Hyundai Hybrid Car Prices Increased in Pakistan

Hyundai Nishat Motor (Private) Limited has revised the Hyundai hybrid car prices in Pakistan, with the new tentative ex-factory prices taking effect from August 12, 2026. The company has attributed the revisions to changes in the federal taxation framework introduced through the Federal Budget 2026-27.

The revised prices affect the Hyundai Elantra Hybrid, Tucson Hybrid and Santa Fe Hybrid. According to the dealer circular issued on August 11, the new prices are approximately 15.2% higher than the corresponding pre-budget ex-factory prices.

The Federal Board of Revenue’s official Budget 2026-27 documents confirm that the government introduced a number of changes to the sales-tax framework for the new fiscal year. The Finance Bill 2026 came into effect from July 1, 2026.

Hyundai’s official website had listed the pre-budget starting prices of the affected hybrid models at Rs. 9.895 million for the Elantra Hybrid, Rs. 11.220 million for the Tucson Hybrid and Rs. 12.650 million for the Santa Fe Hybrid.

The largest increase in absolute terms is seen on the Santa Fe Hybrid Signature AWD, which rises by Rs. 2.128 million compared with its pre-budget ex-factory price. The Tucson Hybrid Signature AWD also becomes more expensive by Rs. 1.861 million.

Hyundai currently lists the Elantra Hybrid, Tucson Hybrid and Santa Fe Hybrid among its hybrid offerings in Pakistan.

Hyundai Announces Azadi Offer 2026

Despite the price revisions, Hyundai Nishat has introduced a limited-time Azadi promotional offer for selected hybrid models to mark Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day.

The promotion will remain valid until August 31, 2026, giving customers an opportunity to purchase eligible vehicles at discounted ex-factory prices.

The Santa Fe Hybrid Signature AWD offers the highest saving under the promotion at Rs. 1.403 million, followed by the Santa Fe Hybrid Smart FWD with a Rs. 1.316 million reduction.

Full Payment Customers Get Price Lock

Hyundai Nishat has also announced a price-lock facility for customers who book an eligible vehicle through full payment during the promotional period.

This means eligible buyers can secure the applicable promotional ex-factory price through August 31, subject to the company’s booking terms and conditions. Hyundai’s online booking system confirms that customers can select models and variants and submit booking information through the company’s official platform.

The price-lock provision could be particularly relevant for customers concerned about further changes in vehicle prices or taxation after the current promotional period ends.

Tax Policy Behind the Price Revision

Hyundai Nishat has clarified that the price revision is linked to the government’s new taxation policy rather than being an independent price increase imposed by the company.

The Federal Board of Revenue’s Budget 2026-27 documentation outlines several changes to the sales-tax regime, including measures affecting manufacturers and the taxation of goods.

It is important for buyers to distinguish between ex-factory prices and the final on-road cost. Registration charges, withholding taxes, insurance, freight or other applicable costs can affect the amount ultimately paid by a customer.

The FBR also maintains separate rules and tax treatment for hybrid electric vehicles under certain vehicle-import schemes, demonstrating that hybrid vehicles can have different treatment depending on the applicable tax category and circumstances.

Hyundai Hybrid Buyers Get Limited Window

The latest Hyundai price revision creates a mixed situation for buyers. On one hand, the new taxation-related prices have increased the cost of several popular hybrid models by more than Rs. 1.5 million. On the other hand, the Azadi Offer temporarily reduces the impact of those increases, with discounts ranging from Rs. 639,000 to Rs. 1.403 million.

For customers already planning to purchase an Elantra Hybrid, Tucson Hybrid or Santa Fe Hybrid, the promotion provides a limited opportunity to secure a lower ex-factory price before August 31, 2026.

The final purchasing decision will depend on variant availability, dealer terms, registration costs, financing conditions and the applicable taxes at the time of delivery. Hyundai’s official website also provides current model and booking information for customers considering its hybrid lineup.

Overall, the latest development highlights how changes in Pakistan’s taxation policy can quickly affect locally assembled vehicle prices. Hyundai’s temporary Azadi promotion may provide some relief to buyers, but the revised pricing structure means that hybrid vehicles remain a significant investment for Pakistani consumers.
