By Nissan has introduced a new electric camper van designed for travelers who want the convenience of a home while exploring the open road. Developed in partnership with German camper specialist Eifelland, the new camper combines electric mobility with practical living features for families and adventure enthusiasts.
The camper is based on Nissan’s electric Interstar van and offers sleeping space for four people, along with a fully equipped interior that supports longer journeys without sacrificing comfort.
Designed for travel and everyday convenience
Unlike a standard passenger van, the new electric camper includes a range of built in features that make extended road trips more enjoyable.
Inside, owners will find:
- Sleeping space for up to four people
- Compact kitchen area
- Double bed with storage underneath
- Refrigerator
- Induction cooking system
- Rotating front seats
- Flexible rear seating arrangement
- Real wood cabinets and interior finishes
The camper’s layout allows passengers to use the space for relaxing, dining, or sleeping, making it suitable for weekend trips as well as longer holidays.
One of its biggest advantages is that the battery can supply power to the onboard appliances. As a result, users can operate many of the interior features without relying on an external power connection.
Long driving range with electric power
The camper uses an 87 kWh battery paired with a single electric motor. Nissan says the vehicle can deliver up to 408 miles of driving range under the WLTP testing standard, although actual range will vary depending on driving conditions and load.
The vehicle also supports DC fast charging of up to 130 kW, helping reduce charging time during longer trips.

Instead of focusing on high performance, Nissan designed the camper for relaxed touring and efficient travel. The electric drivetrain delivers smooth driving while supporting the camper’s onboard electrical systems.
A growing market for electric camping
Electric camper vans continue gaining attention as manufacturers explore cleaner alternatives for recreational travel. Buyers increasingly look for vehicles that combine low emissions with practical features for outdoor adventures.
By pairing electric technology with a fully equipped camper interior, Nissan aims to offer a solution for travelers who want greater comfort while reducing their environmental impact.
The new electric camper will be available in selected European markets. Although Nissan has not announced plans for wider availability, the model highlights how electric vehicles continue expanding into new lifestyle and recreational segments.
