By Great Wall Motors (GWM) has officially launched the ORA 5 EV in Pakistan, adding another premium electric vehicle to the country’s rapidly expanding EV market. The new electric crossover has been introduced at an ex-factory price of Rs. 8,599,000, while bookings are now open with an initial payment of Rs. 1,700,000.
The ORA 5 becomes the latest addition to GWM’s ORA lineup in Pakistan and brings a combination of electric performance, long driving range, premium interior equipment and advanced safety technology. The model is already available in international markets including China, New Zealand, South Africa and Thailand.
GWM ORA 5 EV Battery and Range
One of the biggest highlights of the GWM ORA 5 EV is its 58.3 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack. The Pakistan-spec model offers a claimed driving range of up to 435 kilometers, based on the WLTP testing cycle.
The electric crossover uses a single front-mounted motor driving the front wheels. The ORA 5 measures 4,471 mm in length, 1,833 mm in width and 1,641 mm in height, with a 2,720 mm wheelbase. Its larger footprint makes it more spacious than several popular vehicles sold in Pakistan, including the Suzuki Swift, Dongfeng Box and Kia Stonic.
The increased dimensions are particularly beneficial for cabin space, with the longer wheelbase expected to provide improved legroom for both front and rear passengers. The model also offers a 440-litre boot according to published local specifications.
Premium Features and Technology
The GWM ORA 5 is positioned as a technology-focused electric crossover. Its equipment list includes a 14.6-inch 2K touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging and a six-speaker audio system.
The cabin also features leather seating, electrically adjustable seats, a panoramic glass roof and ambient lighting. A heat-pump air-conditioning system and other comfort-oriented equipment further enhance its premium positioning.
Safety is another major selling point. The ORA 5 comes with a comprehensive Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) package, including adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, emergency lane-keeping, forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking and rear cross-traffic alert and braking.
