Attock Petroleum Limited (APL) is taking a major step towards advancing electric vehicle (EV) adoption in Pakistan. The company recently announced its plans to expand its EV charging network across the country, supporting the government’s efforts to address climate change and promote sustainable transportation.

APL’s commitment to EV infrastructure is clear in their latest initiatives. They have already installed three 180KW fast EV charging systems at key locations, catering to the growing demand for EV charging facilities. These charging stations are part of a larger strategy to create a nationwide network, making it easier for EV owners to charge their vehicles and reducing the country’s carbon emissions. This expansion is a vital contribution to cleaner air and efforts to combat climate change.

One of the main areas APL is focusing on is the expansion of their DC Fast Electric Vehicle Charging network along motorway service areas. This will be especially beneficial for long-distance travelers, providing them with convenient and efficient charging options during their journeys. These high-power charging stations will ensure that EV users have access to fast and reliable services, easing the transition to electric vehicles.

APL has already installed and commissioned EV charging stations at several prominent locations, including Islamabad Club, Garrison Filling Station, and Hassan Petroleum. These initiatives reflect the company’s proactive approach to supporting the country’s shift towards cleaner, more sustainable transportation solutions.

In addition to expanding the EV charging infrastructure, APL is also pursuing other sustainable initiatives. The company plans to implement On-Grid Solar Systems at their retail outlets and storage facilities, reducing their carbon footprint and contributing to renewable energy generation. This solar energy integration will not only benefit APL’s operations but also align with the broader goal of promoting renewable energy sources in Pakistan.

Moreover, APL is in the process of establishing an LPG storage and filling plant in Rawalpindi, which will increase the availability of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in the region. This development highlights APL’s commitment to diversifying its energy solutions while supporting sustainable fuel options.

The expansion of EV charging infrastructure in Pakistan is a crucial step towards a greener, more sustainable future. APL’s investment in these facilities is not only helping to drive the adoption of electric vehicles but also contributing to the nation’s efforts to reduce its reliance on fossil fuels.

With their forward-thinking approach, APL is playing a significant role in shaping the future of transportation in Pakistan, ensuring a cleaner environment for future generations.
