960 km Range From a 130.15 kWh Battery

The biggest headline surrounding the BYD Denza N8L is its claimed 960 km range.

The SUV uses a 130.15 kWh Blade Battery developed by BYD. Under the Chinese CLTC testing cycle, the battery provides a maximum claimed range of 960 km.

The CLTC figure is generally more optimistic than WLTP testing. Actual driving range can vary depending on speed, weather, traffic, road conditions and driving style.

Even so, the claimed figure puts the Denza N8L among the long-range electric SUVs currently entering the market.

Powerful 370 kW Electric Motor

The BYD Denza N8L is powered by a rear-mounted permanent-magnet electric motor.

It produces up to 370 kW, equivalent to around 496 horsepower. The SUV has a claimed top speed of 240 km/h.

The rear-wheel-drive configuration also separates the pure-electric N8L from some performance-focused electric SUVs that use dual-motor all-wheel-drive systems.

Denza has instead focused the N8L on a balance of range, performance and passenger comfort.

800V Fast-Charging Technology

Charging performance is another major feature of the new Denza SUV.

The BYD Denza N8L uses an 800V electrical architecture and supports BYD’s latest fast-charging technology.

The company says the battery can charge from 10% to 97% in around nine minutes under suitable charging conditions.

This could make long-distance journeys more convenient by reducing the amount of time spent at charging stations.

Actual charging speeds will depend on the charging equipment, battery temperature and other conditions.

Spacious Six-Seat Interior

The BYD Denza N8L is designed as a six-seat premium SUV.

Its 2+2+2 layout gives second-row passengers individual seats, while the third row can be adjusted to create additional passenger or luggage space.

The cabin also features a technology-focused dashboard with multiple displays. An augmented-reality head-up display and digital rearview technology are among the available features.

The electric platform also allows Denza to offer a 208-litre front trunk, providing additional storage space for everyday items.

Advanced Driver Assistance Technology

Technology is a major part of the N8L package.

The SUV comes with BYD’s God’s Eye 5.0 intelligent driving system. Its hardware includes LiDAR, cameras, millimetre-wave radar and ultrasonic sensors.

These systems support various driver-assistance functions, including highway navigation assistance, urban driving assistance and automated parking.

The N8L also introduces BYD’s DiClaw AI agent, which is designed to handle more complex voice commands and connected vehicle functions.

BYD Denza N8L Price and Variants

The all-electric BYD Denza N8L is offered in two versions in China.

The entry-level N8L EV Premium starts at 299,800 yuan, while the higher-spec Flagship version costs 329,800 yuan.

The pricing gives buyers different equipment levels while keeping the same large SUV format and electric powertrain concept.

For now, the launch is focused on the Chinese market. International availability will depend on Denza’s future expansion plans.

A New Chapter for Denza’s Electric SUVs

The BYD Denza N8L represents another step in BYD’s expansion into the premium electric vehicle market.

Its combination of a large battery, long claimed range, fast charging and six-seat practicality makes it particularly suited to families and long-distance drivers.

The SUV also demonstrates how quickly electric vehicle technology is developing. Large electric vehicles are now offering increasingly high power outputs while also targeting hundreds of kilometres of driving range.

With its 960 km CLTC claim and 800V charging system, the Denza N8L brings several of these technologies together in one premium package.

BYD Denza N8L Brings Range and Technology Together

The BYD Denza N8L arrives with a strong combination of range, performance and practicality.

Its 130.15 kWh Blade Battery delivers a claimed 960 km CLTC range, while the 370 kW motor provides substantial performance. The 800V charging architecture further strengthens its long-distance credentials.

The six-seat interior, advanced driver-assistance technology and additional front storage also make it a practical family-focused SUV.

Currently launched in China, the Denza N8L adds another high-tech model to BYD’s rapidly growing electric vehicle portfolio.
