By Volkswagen has expanded its electric vehicle lineup with a new compact crossover designed to make EV ownership more accessible. The latest model combines competitive pricing, practical features, and a driving range suitable for everyday use, giving buyers another option in the growing electric SUV market.
Positioned as an entry level electric crossover, the new model is aimed at customers looking for a balance of affordability, technology, and efficiency without sacrificing practicality.
Designed for daily driving
The electric SUV is available with multiple powertrain options, allowing buyers to choose between different performance levels and battery sizes based on their driving needs.
The entry level version uses a lithium iron phosphate battery, while higher trims are equipped with a larger nickel manganese cobalt battery for extended driving range.
Customers can choose from three electric motor outputs:
- 114 hp
- 133 hp
- 208 hp
Depending on the selected version, the vehicle offers a maximum driving range of up to 265 miles (427 km) under the WLTP testing cycle.
Charging performance
Volkswagen has equipped the new crossover with fast charging capability to reduce charging times during longer journeys.
The smaller battery supports DC fast charging of up to 90 kW, while the larger battery accepts charging speeds of up to 105 kW.
Under suitable charging conditions, both battery options can recharge from 10 percent to 80 percent in approximately 25 minutes, making the vehicle practical for regular travel.

Technology and interior highlights
The compact SUV includes several modern features designed to improve convenience and comfort.

Vehicle to Load technology allows owners to use the vehicle’s battery as a portable power source for compatible equipment such as camping accessories, power tools, or electric bicycles.
Although compact in size, the new crossover has been designed with everyday usability in mind. Volkswagen has included multiple storage areas throughout the vehicle, making it suitable for family use, commuting, and weekend travel.
Higher trim levels also offer premium equipment such as electrically adjustable seats with a massage function and an upgraded Harman Kardon sound system.
