Toyota Pakistan has announced a major increase in the prices of its imported vehicle lineup, including the popular Land Cruiser LC300, Land Cruiser Prado LC250, and Toyota Camry. The revised prices, applicable on an ex-factory Karachi basis, reflect the impact of the newly imposed Special Excise Duty (SED) introduced under Pakistan’s Budget 2026.
The latest revision has resulted in price increases ranging from Rs. 35 lakh to as much as Rs. 1.10 crore, making these premium imported vehicles significantly more expensive for buyers in Pakistan.
Revised Toyota Imported Vehicle Prices
According to the updated pricing structure, the flagship Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 has witnessed the highest increase, with its ex-factory price rising from Rs. 9.50 crore to Rs. 10.60 crore.
The Toyota Camry has also experienced a substantial jump, crossing the Rs. 4 crore mark for the first time.

| Toyota Prado Petrol 5-Seater LC250 | 5.50 Crore | 6.15 Crore | 65 Lakh |

Why Have Toyota’s Imported Models Become More Expensive?
The primary reason behind the sharp increase is the Special Excise Duty (SED) introduced through the Federal Budget 2026. The government has imposed significantly higher duties on imported vehicles with larger engine capacities.
Under the new taxation framework:
- Imported vehicles with engine capacities between 2,000cc and 3,000cc are subject to an 86% Special Excise Duty.
- Imported vehicles with engine capacities above 3,000cc face a 92% Special Excise Duty.
Since the Toyota Land Cruiser LC300, Prado LC250 variants, and Camry all fall within the affected engine-capacity categories, the additional tax burden has directly translated into higher retail prices.
Impact on Pakistan’s Premium SUV Market
The latest price revision is expected to affect demand in Pakistan’s luxury and premium SUV segment. The Toyota Land Cruiser and Prado have traditionally been among the most sought-after imported SUVs due to their durability, off-road capability, reliability, and strong resale value.
However, with the Land Cruiser LC300 now priced above Rs. 10.5 crore and the Camry reaching Rs. 4.38 crore, prospective buyers may reconsider their purchasing decisions or explore alternative premium vehicles available in the market.
Industry analysts believe the higher taxation on imported vehicles is aimed at reducing the country’s import bill, encouraging local manufacturing, and generating additional government revenue. However, it also raises the cost of ownership for consumers interested in imported premium automobiles.
What This Means for Buyers?
For customers planning to purchase a Toyota Land Cruiser, Prado, or Camry, the revised prices mean significantly higher upfront costs. Buyers may also face increased registration and taxation expenses depending on their province and filer status.
As the automotive sector continues to adjust to the fiscal measures introduced in Budget 2026, more imported vehicle brands may revise their prices in response to the new taxation regime.
