Pak Suzuki Discontinues Some Models From Its Local Lineup

Speculation on social media has now aligned with reality—Pak Suzuki has discontinued the Suzuki Every VX variant, which was introduced as part of the company’s shift away from the decades-old Suzuki Bolan. The base model VX has quietly disappeared from Suzuki Pakistan’s official website, where now only the Every VXR variant is listed.

The Suzuki Every, launched in Pakistan in October 2024, was initially offered in two trims: VX and VXR. However, recent updates indicate that the VX has been dropped entirely from production and sales. The remaining VXR variant continues at its listed price of Rs. 2,965,000 (ex-factory).

Ravi Pickup Also Phased Out

In addition to discontinuing the Every VX, Pak Suzuki has also officially phased out the Suzuki Ravi. The Ravi had long maintained a strong presence in Pakistan’s commercial and small cargo transport market, but declining demand and shifting industry trends appear to have influenced its exit.

This development follows Suzuki’s recent Rs. 350,000 discount offered on the Every VXR, with no mention of the VX variant — suggesting that the decision to discontinue the base model was already in motion.

Why Was the Every VX Discontinued?

While Pak Suzuki has not released an official statement regarding the reasons behind discontinuing the VX, market observers suggest the following possible factors:

  • Low demand for the base variant compared to the better-equipped VXR
  • Increasing preference for vehicles with more comfort and convenience features
  • Shift in consumer expectations and urban mobility preferences
  • Market strategy to avoid overlapping or redundant trim levels

The Suzuki Every was introduced as a modern replacement for the Suzuki Bolan, offering improved safety, air conditioning, and a more spacious cabin—features long demanded by family buyers, rideshare drivers, and commercial users.

Market Impact and Consumer Sentiment

With only the VXR variant now available, consumers have fewer configuration options. However, those seeking better comfort features may find the VXR more suitable compared to what the VX offered.

The discontinuation of the Ravi pickup also marks the end of an era for one of Pakistan’s familiar small cargo transporters. This move signals a shift in Suzuki’s product strategy toward newer, efficiency-focused models.

The quiet removal of the Suzuki Every VX and the complete phase-out of the Suzuki Ravi indicate that Pak Suzuki is restructuring its lineup to align with evolving market demands. Whether this strategy strengthens Suzuki’s position in Pakistan’s small vehicle segment remains to be seen.
