The highly coveted DD5 plate started with a Dh15 million bid and quickly escalated as over 20 bidders vied for ownership. After an intense bidding war, Muhammad BinGhatti, Chairman of Binghatti Holding, secured the plate with bid panel number 7.
“This is the legend, this is the man,” the auction host declared before confirming the sale, emphasizing the prestige associated with such elite number plates in Dubai.
Youngest Participant Joins the Bidding Battle
Adding to the auction’s excitement, 13-year-old Abdulkader Walid Asaad participated in the bidding for DD5 but was ultimately outbid. However, he successfully acquired DD24 for Dh6.3 million, proving that Dubai’s culture of luxury and exclusivity extends even to its youngest enthusiasts.
