Atlas Honda may soon expand beyond its traditional commuter motorcycle lineup as the company considers introducing higher capacity motorcycles for Pakistani riders. The move reflects changing consumer preferences and growing demand for premium bikes across the country.
During a recent corporate briefing, company representatives indicated that larger displacement motorcycles are under consideration if market demand continues to strengthen. This would mark a significant shift for Atlas Honda, which has long focused on commuter motorcycles in Pakistan.
Demand for premium bikes is increasing
The local motorcycle market has evolved considerably in recent years. More riders are showing interest in motorcycles that offer higher engine capacity, improved performance, and modern features.
According to the company, rising demand for premium motorcycles has been supported by stronger purchasing power in some consumer segments. Higher overseas remittances and changing customer preferences have encouraged Atlas Honda to evaluate opportunities beyond its existing product range.
If introduced, the new motorcycles would target riders looking for more powerful options for highway travel, touring, and recreational riding rather than everyday commuting.
Production expansion supports future growth
Alongside its product plans, Atlas Honda is increasing manufacturing capacity to meet rising demand.
The company is currently expanding its production facilities and expects annual manufacturing capacity to grow from 1.65 million motorcycles to 2 million motorcycles by the end of 2026.

Officials also confirmed that current production has exceeded the factory’s rated capacity. The company has managed this increased demand by extending production hours and working closely with its supplier network.
Market trends shaping company strategy
Atlas Honda believes Pakistan’s motorcycle industry has recovered strongly, with total market sales reaching approximately 2.3 million units.
The company also highlighted several key market trends:
- Demand for motorcycles above 100cc continues to grow.
- Consumer interest is gradually shifting toward premium motorcycles.
- Chinese motorcycle brands have lost market share compared to previous years.
These changes suggest that buyers are increasingly looking for higher quality and better performing motorcycles instead of focusing only on entry level models.
Electric motorcycles remain a lower priority
While many manufacturers are investing heavily in electric mobility, Atlas Honda says it has no immediate plans for major additional investment in EV production.
The company believes its existing facilities are sufficient for expected demand and remains focused on expanding its conventional motorcycle business.
Atlas Honda also noted that it has largely maintained stable motorcycle prices over the past three years, apart from changes linked to government taxes and duties.
If the company moves ahead with higher capacity motorcycles, it would represent one of its biggest product expansions in Pakistan, giving riders more options in the country’s growing premium motorcycle segment.
