By Punjab Traffic Police has issued more than 2.35 million motorcycle licenses as part of an ongoing province-wide relief campaign. The initiative aims to simplify the licensing process while improving compliance with road safety laws.
Officials say the campaign allows citizens to obtain learner permits and regular licenses within one day. Authorities have accelerated procedures to reduce waiting times and encourage more riders to become legally licensed.
The drive is being supervised by DIG Punjab Muhammad Waqas Nazir. Alongside facilitation, enforcement efforts continue across the province. Traffic police are actively taking action against riders who operate motorcycles without valid licenses.
According to official figures, over 2.35 million motorcycle licenses have been issued so far this year. More than one million citizens have obtained regular driving licenses, while over 671,000 licenses have been renewed. In addition, around 710,000 people have used learner-related services during the campaign.
Fast Track Licensing and Enforcement Efforts
Authorities have focused on balancing convenience with strict enforcement. The fast track system enables applicants to complete the licensing process quickly. At the same time, traffic police continue to issue fines and penalties to unlicensed riders.

The motorcycle licensing drive follows earlier large-scale efforts by Punjab Traffic Police. In a previous campaign, authorities issued around 5.5 million car driving licenses within 100 days. That initiative included learner permits, renewals, duplicate licenses, and international permits.
