The IAA Mobility Show is one of the world’s most important automotive events. Originally held in Frankfurt, Germany, it moved to Munich in 2021 and quickly evolved from a traditional motor show into a showcase for future mobility. It’s now as much about electric vehicles, battery breakthroughs, autonomous driving and digital services as it is about cars themselves.

The 2025 edition of the show, held at Munich’s vast Messe exhibition halls, brought together global automakers, tech companies and start-ups. From established brands like BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen to rising Chinese players such as Xpeng, Nio and Changan, exhibitors used IAA Mobility 2025 to unveil their latest electric vehicles, concept cars and cutting-edge technologies. With a record number of innovations on display, it gave the world a glimpse of how our roads may look in the coming years.

These 5 EVs From IAA Mobility 2025 Could Change the Auto Industry Forever

The IAA Mobility 2025 show in Munich was a clear sign that the automotive world is accelerating into an electric and intelligent future. This year’s event didn’t just showcase shiny prototypes; it gave a glimpse of production-ready EVs and breakthrough technologies that could redefine how we drive, charge and interact with our vehicles.

Here are five standout electric vehicles from IAA Mobility 2025 that captured global attention and might reshape the auto industry in the years ahead.

1. Xpeng P7+

Making its European debut, the Xpeng P7+ drew huge crowds with its 92.2kWh battery pack, 800V architecture and 585bhp powertrain. Fast charging from 10% to 80% in just 12 minutes and AI-powered infotainment show how Chinese automakers are matching — and in some cases surpassing — established brands.

2. Polestar 5

Polestar’s sleek new Grand Tourer aims squarely at the Porsche Taycan and Audi e-tron GT. With up to 871bhp and a minimalist interior, it’s the brand’s most powerful model yet and an example of how design and performance can coexist in the EV era.

3. BMW iX3 Neue Klasse

BMW revealed the first real look at its Neue Klasse electric lineup with the iX3 SUV. Offering a massive 500-mile range from a 108.7kWh battery and 10-minute top-ups for 231 miles of charge, it marks a big leap in mainstream EV capability.

4. Hyundai Concept Three

This playful “compact” EV concept features pixelated displays, bold design language and hints of a Tamagotchi-style digital companion. While specs are scarce, Hyundai’s concept hints at a more interactive future for small electric cars.

5. QuantumScape Solid-State Batteries

Not a car but a technology, QuantumScape’s solid-state batteries promise higher energy density and 12-minute charging times. Debuting in Ducati’s V21L prototype motorcycle, this tech could make its way into mainstream EVs sooner than expected.

From high-performance sedans to cutting-edge battery tech, IAA Mobility 2025 proved that the next wave of EVs will be faster, smarter and more sustainable. These five highlights show how innovation is spreading across borders and brands, making the future of mobility more exciting than ever.
