The traffic police have issued a reminder to motorcyclists that only three days remain to benefit from the ongoing relief initiative for obtaining learning and regular driving licenses. This special scheme, which has been met with widespread public appreciation, is set to conclude on November 30, 2024.

A Successful Initiative Benefitting Over 1.2 Million Citizens

Additional Inspector General Mirza Farhan Baig lauded the initiative’s success, stating that it has already provided significant benefits to over 1.2 million citizens.

  • Learning Licenses Issued: 460,940
  • Regular Licenses Acquired: 764,961
  • Licenses Renewed: Over 185,000

This relief period has been recognized as a crucial step in enhancing road safety and promoting adherence to traffic regulations.

Deadline and Legal Implications

The traffic police emphasized that after November 30, a strict crackdown will begin against unlicensed motorcyclists. Citizens are advised to visit their nearest licensing centers with their original CNICs to obtain their licenses and avoid legal repercussions.

A traffic police spokesperson also highlighted that from December 1, 2024, the standard 42-day validity period for learning licenses will once again be enforced.

Importance of the Initiative

The relief program has been instrumental in raising awareness about the importance of driving licenses and encouraging compliance with traffic laws. Officials have stressed that obtaining a valid license is not only a legal obligation but also a step toward safer roads for everyone.

Final Call for Motorcyclists

With just days left before the initiative ends, motorcyclists are urged to seize this opportunity. Avoid delays, secure your license, and ensure compliance with traffic regulations to contribute to safer and more orderly roads.

For further information, visit your nearest traffic police licensing center or contact their helpline.
