Pakistan’s automotive industry concluded fiscal year 2025-26 with an impressive performance as vehicle sales surged by 28.9% month-on-month (MoM) in June 2026. The latest figures released by the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) reveal a significant rebound in consumer demand, reflecting improving economic conditions and growing confidence in the country’s automobile market.
Total passenger car and light commercial vehicle sales reached 21,955 units in June 2026, compared to 17,033 units in May, marking one of the strongest monthly performances of the fiscal year.
Industry experts attribute the growth to easing inflationary pressures, greater availability of financing options, improved supply chains, and the introduction of attractive new vehicle models across multiple segments.

Outlook for Pakistan’s Auto Industry
The strong June 2026 sales performance signals growing momentum for Pakistan’s automotive sector heading into FY2026-27. Rising consumer confidence, expanding SUV choices, improved inventory availability, and easing economic pressures are helping fuel demand across multiple vehicle categories.
With new hybrid, electric, and crossover models expected to enter the market in the coming months, industry analysts anticipate continued growth and increased competition among automakers. The remarkable 28.9% monthly surge recorded in June serves as a positive indicator that Pakistan’s automotive industry is firmly on the path to recovery and expansion.
