OMODA 7 Launched in Pakistan at Rs10.649 Million With 90+ km EV Range

Nishat Group’s NexGen Auto has officially launched the OMODA 7 SHS-P in Pakistan, bringing the brand’s flagship plug-in hybrid SUV to the local market. Priced at an ex-factory Rs10,649,000, the OMODA 7 enters Pakistan’s increasingly competitive premium SUV segment with a combination of hybrid performance, long driving range and a technology-focused interior.

The launch follows months of anticipation after the OMODA 7 was showcased at the PakWheels Auto Show in Karachi. Early buyers can also benefit from a price-lock offer, while bookings are available online and through OMODA & JAECOO dealerships across Pakistan.

OMODA 7 Powertrain and Performance

The OMODA 7 SHS-P combines a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor, producing a combined 341 horsepower and 525 Nm of torque.

Its plug-in hybrid setup is supported by an 18.4 kWh battery pack, allowing the SUV to travel more than 90 km on electric power alone under the stated range figures. This makes the OMODA 7 particularly suitable for buyers who can regularly charge the vehicle and use electric power for daily commuting.

For longer journeys, the petrol-electric powertrain provides a claimed combined driving range of up to 1,250 km. This combination aims to address one of the biggest concerns surrounding fully electric vehicles: range anxiety during long-distance travel.

Premium Features and Interior Technology

The OMODA 7 is positioned as a feature-rich premium SUV, with a strong focus on passenger comfort and cabin technology.

Notable features include Stargazing Zero Gravity Seats, designed to provide a more relaxed seating position, along with an 8-point massage seat for enhanced comfort on longer journeys.

The SUV also gets a 12-speaker SONY sound system, luxury fragrance dispensers and a Star Rail Glide Screen, adding to its technology-oriented cabin.

On the exterior, the OMODA 7 comes equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels, while illuminated front bumper lighting adds to its styling. A T-type spare wheel is also included.

OMODA’s Growing Presence in Pakistan

The OMODA 7 launch comes almost a year after Nishat Group’s NexGen Auto introduced the OMODA and JAECOO brands to Pakistan.

The brands were officially unveiled at an event at Expo Centre Lahore on August 1, 2025, where five models were introduced: the OMODA E5, JAECOO J6, JAECOO J7, OMODA 7 and JAECOO J5.

According to the information released by the company, OMODA & JAECOO achieved their highest first-month sales in Pakistan among their global markets and subsequently crossed 10,000 vehicle deliveries in the country within their first year.

Globally, the brands have expanded into 64 markets, while OMODA has also recorded strong growth in the UK, crossing 15,000 registrations in 2026 according to the figures provided by the company.

Booking and Dealership Network

The OMODA 7 price in Pakistan has been set at Rs10,649,000 on an ex-factory basis. Customers can book the SUV online or visit one of the 20 OMODA & JAECOO dealerships operating across Pakistan.

The price-lock offer could make the initial launch period particularly attractive for customers concerned about potential price increases, although buyers should confirm the latest booking terms and final on-road costs with the company.

OMODA 4 Coming Next

NexGen Auto’s expansion in Pakistan is not stopping with the OMODA 7. The company is also preparing to introduce the OMODA 4, which recently made its regional debut in Indonesia.

While the OMODA 7 focuses heavily on luxury, comfort and plug-in hybrid efficiency, the OMODA 4 is being positioned as a more technology-focused model aimed at younger buyers.

The OMODA 4 features a futuristic Cyber Mecha design and a Super AI Cockpit built around ten coordinated AI agents and support for five languages. Its voice-controlled system is designed to handle multiple functions through combined natural-language commands, including climate control, seat ventilation, windows, ambient lighting, music and navigation.

Globally, the OMODA 4 is offered with BEV, HEV and ICE powertrains, although it remains to be seen which versions will be introduced in Pakistan.

A New Option for Pakistan’s Premium SUV Buyers

With its plug-in hybrid powertrain, 341 hp output, more than 90 km of electric driving range and claimed 1,250 km combined range, the OMODA 7 enters Pakistan with a distinctive proposition.

Its Rs10.649 million price places it firmly in the premium SUV category, where buyers increasingly have more choices from Chinese and other international automotive brands.

The success of the OMODA 7 will ultimately depend not only on its specifications but also on factors such as real-world fuel economy, charging infrastructure, after-sales service, parts availability and long-term reliability.

Nevertheless, its launch represents another important step in the rapid expansion of electrified and technology-rich SUVs in Pakistan.
