The Excise Department is set to launch a new mobile service at Shalimar Cricket Ground in Islamabad on Friday, as part of the ICT Doorstep initiative. This innovative service aims to bring essential civic services directly to the community, enhancing convenience for residents of the federal capital.

According to a spokesman for the ICT administration, department staff will be available in the parking lot of Shalimar Cricket Ground from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. to assist residents with a range of civic tasks. This initiative is designed to make it easier for people living nearby to access government services without having to travel far.

A dedicated van will be stationed at the ground, providing a variety of services. Residents will be able to obtain fuel permits for both domestic and commercial use, register motor vehicles, and handle other vehicle-related tasks such as transfer and token tax payments. The mobile unit aims to simplify these processes, ensuring they are completed quickly and efficiently.

In addition to vehicle-related services, the mobile unit will offer a range of other important services. These include the issuance of domicile certificates, birth certificates, power of attorney documents, and international driving permits. The goal of the ICT administration is to bring these services directly to the community, making them more accessible and convenient.

For further details about the services, citizens can contact the ICT administration at 051-111-383-383. This effort is expected to save residents time and make it easier for them to take care of their civic needs right in their neighborhood, contributing to a more efficient and citizen-friendly government service experience.

This initiative is a part of the broader ICT Doorstep program, which seeks to improve public access to government services by bringing them closer to where people live and work. By reducing the need for residents to visit government offices, the program is expected to enhance service delivery and overall satisfaction among the citizens of Islamabad.
