Chery Tiggo 7 PHEV Launching in Pakistan This April

Chery Master Pakistan is set to launch the Tiggo 7 PHEV on April 10, marking a major step in expanding the country’s plug in hybrid vehicle segment. The new SUV will enter the competitive C segment category and aims to offer a balance of performance, efficiency, and advanced technology for local buyers.

The launch comes at a time when fuel prices continue to rise across Pakistan. Chery positions the Tiggo 7 PHEV as a cost efficient mobility solution that can reduce fuel expenses while supporting the shift toward electrified vehicles. The company claims the SUV can cut fuel costs by over 70 percent when driven in electric mode for daily use.

Chery will introduce the Tiggo 7 PHEV as a locally assembled CKD model from the start. This approach allows better cost management and supports faster delivery timelines. The company expects deliveries to begin by June 2026, depending on booking volumes.

Power Performance and Market Position

The Tiggo 7 PHEV is built on Chery’s fifth generation Super Hybrid platform. It combines a 1.5 litre turbocharged petrol engine with an 18.3 kWh battery and a dedicated hybrid transmission. The system produces 342 horsepower and 525 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km per hour in 8.4 seconds.

Chery states that the SUV offers more than 90 kilometers of pure electric range. The combined driving range exceeds 1200 kilometers, making it suitable for both city commuting and long distance travel. This dual use capability positions the vehicle as a practical option for Pakistani roads.

The Tiggo 7 PHEV also carries global significance for the brand. The Tiggo 7 lineup has remained one of China’s best selling SUVs for four consecutive years. It is also among Chery’s most exported models, reflecting strong international demand.

The SUV includes a wide range of modern features designed for safety and convenience. Key highlights include:

  • Eight airbags for improved passenger protection
  • Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems
  • A 24.6 inch dual display interface
  • Sony premium audio system
  • Vehicle to load capability for external power use

These features place the Tiggo 7 PHEV among the more technologically advanced options in its segment.

Chery operates in Pakistan through Master Auto Engineering, part of the Master Group. The group brings over 60 years of industrial and automotive experience. The company has already established a nationwide dealership and aftersales network to support the new model. Test drives will be available across its network.

The timing of the launch aligns with increasing demand for alternative energy vehicles in Pakistan. Plug in hybrid options remain limited in this segment, giving Chery an opportunity to capture early market share. The Tiggo 7 PHEV also supports broader goals such as reducing fuel imports and lowering dependence on conventional energy sources.

Pricing and booking details will be announced at the official launch event on April 10. The company has indicated that early deliveries will be prioritized, especially ahead of potential government policy changes affecting hybrid vehicles.

With its combination of hybrid efficiency, modern features, and local assembly, the Tiggo 7 PHEV enters the market as a strong alternative to traditional petrol SUVs.
