BYD Officially Enters Romania: Expanding EV Leadership in Southeastern Europe

BYD, the world’s leading manufacturer of electric vehicles (EVs), has officially entered the Romanian market, marking a major milestone in its expansion across Southeastern Europe. The BYD Romania launch event welcomed over 600 guests, who had the opportunity to experience four of BYD’s most popular models:

• BYD SEAL U DM-i (plug-in hybrid with Super DM technology)
• BYD SEAL (sleek, all-electric sedan)
• BYD ATTO 2 (compact electric vehicle)

As part of its entry strategy, BYD has partnered with Ţiriac Auto and Dab Auto to open new EV showrooms in Bucharest. The company plans to expand to over 30 sales locations across Romania by the end of 2025, targeting all major cities.
