Saudi Arabia’s energy giant, Aramco, has inaugurated its first branded fuel station in Pakistan, located in Lahore near the well-known Liberty Chowk. This venture is in partnership with Gas & Oil Pakistan Ltd. (GO), following Aramco’s recent acquisition of a 40% stake in GO, a leading player in Pakistan’s petroleum marketing industry. This strategic move not only brings Aramco’s renowned quality and service standards to Pakistan but also introduces a new era of premium fuel retail as energy demands grow across the country.

A Unique Launch Experience for Pakistani Consumers

In celebration of this landmark opening, Aramco is offering a special promotion for customers: those who refuel 30 liters or more will receive Zam Zam water, dates, and a Rs. 100 cashback. This thoughtful gesture aims to offer a unique, rewarding experience for customers while setting a high standard for customer service in the Pakistani market.

Aramco, known globally for its significant contributions to energy and chemical production, currently supplies nearly one-eighth of the world’s oil. By joining forces with GO, which operates over 1,200 fuel stations across Pakistan, Aramco is strategically positioned to deliver top-tier fuel and automotive services throughout the country. This collaboration is set to redefine quality and customer satisfaction standards in Pakistan’s fuel retail sector.

Executives Express Optimism for the Future of Pakistan’s Fuel Industry

Speaking on this significant milestone, Yasser M. Mufti, Aramco’s Executive Vice President of Products and Customers, highlighted the importance of this launch in Aramco’s downstream expansion strategy. “This is another milestone in Aramco’s downstream growth story as we launch our first station in Pakistan, a market with considerable potential,” Mufti remarked.

GO’s CEO, Khalid Riaz, shared this enthusiasm, emphasizing the commitment to transform Pakistan’s fuel landscape. “Together with Aramco, we aim to transform Pakistan’s fuel retail landscape by setting new benchmarks for quality, service, and customer satisfaction,” Riaz said.

Strengthening Ties Between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan

Aramco’s entry into Pakistan’s energy sector reflects a broader commitment to strengthening the longstanding ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, which share deep-rooted diplomatic, economic, and cultural connections. Saudi Arabia is home to over 2.7 million Pakistani expatriates and is the largest source of remittances to Pakistan, a testament to the close bond between the two nations.

This venture not only brings high-quality fuel and services to Pakistani consumers but also serves as a symbol of the continued partnership between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. As Aramco sets a new benchmark in Pakistan’s fuel industry, this collaboration highlights a mutual commitment to growth, reliability, and innovation, promising a more dynamic future for Pakistan’s energy sector.
