Honda is preparing to launch a compact electric city car that blends affordability, retro design, and unusual driving features. The Honda Super N will go on sale in Europe later this year and is expected to cost under 27,000 dollars. The model targets buyers looking for a small, efficient EV with character.
The Super N is based on the Honda N One kei car platform. Honda has widened the body and converted the model into a fully electric vehicle. Despite its small size, the car aims to deliver a more engaging driving experience than typical entry level EVs.
Power output remains modest. The Super N produces around 63 horsepower in standard mode. A boost function increases output to 94 horsepower for short bursts of acceleration. Honda has not released official acceleration figures, but the focus is clearly on urban driving rather than performance.
Simulated Driving Experience and Technology
Honda has added simulated gear shifting and synthetic engine sounds to the Super N. The system is designed to make the EV feel more interactive and engaging. It mimics traditional combustion engine behavior even though the car runs entirely on electricity.

Early prototype testing suggests the system feels surprisingly realistic. Drivers can select different sound profiles, which adds variety to the driving experience. Honda aims to make the Super N more emotional and fun compared to standard low cost EVs.
The Super N uses a small battery pack placed under the floor. Reports suggest a capacity of around 29 kWh. The WLTP driving range is rated at approximately 128 miles. Real world range may vary depending on driving conditions and temperature.
Styling plays a major role in the Super N’s appeal. The design draws inspiration from Honda’s long running N series kei cars. A wide body kit gives it a more planted stance, while retro inspired details reference classic models like the Honda City Turbo from the 1980s.

The Interior
The interior focuses on simplicity and practicality. Honda aims to keep costs low while still offering modern digital features. The car is expected to include basic connectivity, driver assistance systems, and efficient packaging for city use.
Market positioning clearly targets Europe. Honda plans to launch the Super N in select global markets, starting with the United Kingdom. The company has not confirmed a US release, and current expectations suggest it will not be offered in North America.
The decision reflects different regional EV demands. European cities increasingly require small, affordable electric vehicles. In contrast, the US market continues to favor larger EVs with longer range.
