China’s leading electric vehicle manufacturer XPENG is reportedly preparing to make its debut in Pakistan, marking a major milestone in the country’s evolving EV ecosystem. As demand for electric mobility continues to grow, XPENG’s entry is expected to introduce new competition, advanced technologies, and greater consumer choice in the mid-size electric SUV segment.
According to early reports, the company is considering launching the XPENG G6 as its first model in Pakistan. The G6 is a mid-size electric coupe-SUV built on XPENG’s advanced 800-volt SEPA 2.0 platform—a system designed for exceptional charging efficiency and energy management.
Ultra-Fast 800V Charging Technology
One of the standout features of the XPENG G6 is its rapid charging capability. Thanks to the 800-volt architecture, the EV can charge from 10% to 80% in around 20 minutes when connected to a compatible high-speed DC charger. This makes it one of the fastest-charging EVs in the global market, significantly reducing wait times for long-distance travel.
Battery Options and Driving Range
XPENG offers the G6 internationally with two battery pack configurations:
- 66 kWh standard battery
- 87.5 kWh long-range battery
Depending on the drivetrain and battery choice, the G6 delivers an impressive WLTP estimated range of 435 km to 570 km, placing it among the most capable electric SUVs in its class. This range advantage is expected to appeal strongly to Pakistani consumers seeking reliable long-distance EV performance.
Performance Variants: RWD and AWD
The G6 is available in both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) options. Performance figures vary by configuration:
- RWD variants: 0–100 km/h in approximately 6.6 to 6.2 seconds
- AWD performance variant: 0–100 km/h in just around 4 seconds
These numbers highlight the G6’s capability as not just an efficient EV but also a dynamic and sporty driving machine.
Spacious Interior and Modern Cabin Design
Inside, the XPENG G6 features a five-seat cabin built on a generous 2,890 mm wheelbase, offering ample legroom and comfort for passengers. The SUV provides 571 liters of cargo space, making it suitable for families and long trips.
The interior includes a modern digital layout, premium materials, and advanced comfort features found across XPENG’s global models. A large central display, smart connectivity, and driver-assist technologies further enhance the driving experience.
Launch Timeline Still Under Wraps
While expectations are high, XPENG has not yet announced pricing, local availability, or an official launch date for Pakistan. Industry analysts believe that the G6 could become a strong contender in the country’s EV market, which is currently seeing increasing interest from both consumers and global manufacturers.
