Adaptive Electric has unveiled ambitious plans to install 5,000 EV charging stations across Pakistan, marking a major step towards the country’s transition to E-Mobility. This large-scale deployment aims to cover diverse sectors, offering a cost-effective and environmentally friendly solution to Pakistan’s transportation needs.
Strategic Partnership with Puma Energy
To demonstrate its commitment to this initiative, Adaptive Electric has secured multiple contracts and signed a significant agreement with Puma Energy. Under this partnership, 624 Puma Energy fuel stations nationwide will be equipped with fast EV charging capabilities, reinforcing the shared goal of reducing carbon footprints through E-Mobility solutions.
Historic Signing Ceremony & Future Rollout
The signing ceremony between Adaptive Electric and Puma Energy marks a transformative moment for Pakistan’s EV infrastructure. Shaaf Mehboob, CEO of Adaptive Electric, emphasized that highways, urban, and semi-urban areas across Pakistan will soon offer seamless EV charging solutions. He also praised the Government of Pakistan, particularly NEECA, for facilitating stakeholders by implementing a regulated EV charging tariff that promotes sustainable mobility.
According to Engineer Hijab Khan, the initial site screening and technical feasibility have been successfully completed. The rollout is scheduled to commence later this year, with the first phase deploying 62 charging stations out of the 624 planned for Puma Energy sites.
Collaboration with Schneider for Cutting-Edge Charging Solutions
Earlier this month, Adaptive Electric announced its partnership with Schneider to provide state-of-the-art EV chargers for the rollout. Schneider’s technology offers advanced backend support and high-efficiency charging, ensuring a seamless user experience.
Environmental Impact & Future Prospects
Fayaz, CEO of Puma Energy, highlighted the environmental benefits of this initiative, stating that each EV charge will reduce carbon emissions by 17-30% compared to internal combustion engine vehicles. He added that Puma’s widespread network of fuel stations will make EV charging accessible, even in previously underserved areas, fostering increased EV adoption.
With Adaptive Electric’s expansion and Puma Energy’s strategic locations, Pakistan’s EV ecosystem is set for a significant transformation, accelerating the country’s journey towards a cleaner, greener future.
