Lahore Traffic Police has announced that several driving license centers in the city will continue to operate during Eid ul Adha holidays. The decision aims to help citizens who need driving related services without interruption during the festive period.
Authorities confirmed that selected service points will remain open to manage public demand. The move ensures that essential licensing services stay available even when most government offices are closed for holidays.
Selected centers will continue operations
According to Chief Traffic Officer Syed Abdul Raheem Shirazi, multiple key locations in Lahore will remain functional throughout Eid days.
These include:
- Liberty Market licensing center
- Greater Iqbal Park center
- Manawan licensing facility
- Wapda Town Khidmat Center
These centers will continue to provide driving license related services during the holiday period.
Officials said the decision was taken to reduce inconvenience for citizens and maintain service continuity during Eid days.
Focus on public convenience
Traffic police officials stated that thousands of citizens visit licensing centers every day. Keeping selected offices open helps manage this demand more effectively.
The department also emphasized that improving public service delivery remains a priority. Ensuring easier access to licensing services is part of ongoing efforts to modernize and streamline operations.

Officials added that transparency and merit based processing remain central to the licensing system. Staff at operational centers will continue to follow standard procedures during Eid.
Continuous service during holidays
By keeping selected centers open, authorities aim to provide uninterrupted access to essential documentation services. Citizens who are unable to visit before the holidays will still have the opportunity to complete their licensing process.
The initiative also helps reduce backlog once regular office operations resume after Eid.
For many residents, driving license services are an essential requirement for daily travel and employment. Holiday closures often create delays, especially for new applicants and those renewing expired licenses.
The decision to maintain operations during Eid is expected to improve convenience and reduce waiting times for applicants.
Officials reiterated that public service delivery remains a key responsibility of the traffic department, especially during peak demand periods like holidays.
