GAC Commercial Vehicles has introduced a new global mobility brand called MONTX at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition. The launch marks a shift toward what the company describes as boundaryless mobility, combining transport, lifestyle, and technology into a single platform. Alongside the brand reveal, GAC showcased two concept vehicles, the MONTX P10 and MONTX V10.
The new brand operates under the theme New Breed No Boundaries. GAC aims to move beyond traditional categories such as pickups, vans, and commercial vehicles. Instead, MONTX focuses on vehicles that support work, travel, exploration, and mobile living in a unified format.
GAC also introduced Project Unbound during the launch event. This global co creation initiative invites users to contribute ideas for future vehicle designs. The program includes collaboration with travel content creator FREEROAD and focuses on areas such as cabin layout, storage solutions, energy systems, and lifestyle functionality.
P10 and V10 Highlight New Mobility Concepts
The MONTX P10 represents a rugged approach to mobility. GAC designed it as a multi dimensional platform for extreme terrain and outdoor exploration. The concept features a bold exterior with a fighter jet inspired finish and armored styling cues. It includes advanced technologies such as four wheel distributed drive, torque vectoring, and long travel suspension.
The P10 also integrates smart features aimed at off road performance. These include real time 3D terrain modeling and automatic suspension adjustment. One of its standout elements is vehicle drone integration, which allows coordination between ground mobility and aerial support.
In contrast, the MONTX V10 focuses on comfort and adaptability. GAC positions it as an adaptive mobile hub designed for long distance travel, remote work, and off grid living. The vehicle features a boxy design with a four way tailgate and a flexible interior layout.
Inside, the V10 offers a modular cabin divided into three zones. Users can transform the space into a workspace, lounge, or sleeping area. The concept also includes a self sustaining system that manages water, power, and climate, supporting extended off grid use.
Both concepts highlight a broader shift in the automotive industry. Manufacturers are moving beyond traditional driving functions and exploring how vehicles can serve as living and working spaces. This trend reflects changing consumer needs, especially among digital nomads and outdoor enthusiasts.

GAC has not released production details for either concept. Key specifications such as battery capacity, range, and pricing remain unknown. The company has also not confirmed a launch timeline, indicating that both models are still in the concept stage.
