Punjab Launches November Registration for Vehicle Number e-Auction via PITB App

The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), in collaboration with the Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control Department, has officially launched registration for November’s vehicle number e-auction. The initiative allows citizens to participate in the auction process entirely online, providing a convenient and transparent way to secure attractive car and motorcycle registration numbers.

Registration Open Until November 30

According to official details, registration is open until November 30, giving residents across Punjab ample time to apply for their preferred registration numbers. The e-Auction App and web portal developed by PITB serve as the main platforms for participation, enabling users to bid online for unique vehicle numbers without visiting any government office.

The auction covers both motorcycle and car registration numbers, and the details of successful bidders are published on the app to ensure full transparency.

A Step Toward Digital Governance

PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf emphasized the importance of this digital initiative, noting that the e-Auction system has completely transformed and digitized the process of obtaining attractive registration numbers. Citizens can now take part in auctions from the comfort of their homes, reducing paperwork, queues, and physical visits to excise offices.

He added that the platform is part of Punjab’s broader vision of e-governance and digital transformation, designed to make public services more efficient, accessible, and corruption-free.

Simplifying the Auction Process

The e-Auction App offers a user-friendly interface where participants can register, place bids, monitor auction status, and view real-time results. The transparent mechanism ensures fair competition, with successful bidders immediately notified of their results.

By digitizing the entire process, the government has not only streamlined service delivery but also improved public engagement and trust in government-led initiatives.

Encouraging Citizen Participation

The Excise Department has encouraged citizens to take advantage of this convenient system to secure their desired registration numbers before the deadline. Authorities have also assured that all transactions and data are securely managed through PITB’s advanced digital infrastructure.

With the growing popularity of online government services in Punjab, the e-Auction initiative marks another major milestone toward a paperless, transparent, and citizen-centric governance model.
