Thatta Cement Company Limited has revealed a significant step in its diversification strategy as its wholly owned subsidiary, Minsk Work Tractor & Assembling (Private) Limited (MWTA), has signed an exclusive agreement with OJSC Minsk Tractor Works of Belarus. The partnership will enable MWTA to assemble and locally produce BELARUS tractors in Balochistan, boosting Pakistan’s industrial capacity and self-reliance in the agricultural machinery sector.
According to a disclosure submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on October 20, 2025, MWTA has obtained exclusive rights to assemble and distribute BELARUS tractors within the province. This strategic collaboration marks an important milestone in enhancing local manufacturing and reducing dependence on imported agricultural equipment.
The initiative aims to promote industrial development, create employment opportunities, and facilitate technology transfer to Pakistan by setting up a modern tractor assembly facility in Balochistan.
