Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has introduced a new traffic diversion near International City 1, in front of Dragon Mart, to facilitate the construction of the much-anticipated Dubai Metro Blue Line. The diversion plan, announced through RTA’s official social media platforms, is designed to maintain traffic flow and ensure commuter safety during the ongoing development works.

Ensuring Smooth Traffic Flow During Construction

According to the RTA advisory, the diversion is part of a wider strategy to keep roads functional while metro expansion continues. “To ensure smooth journeys across Dubai, traffic diversions have been implemented near Dragon Mart as part of the Metro Blue Line works. Motorists are urged to follow road signs and plan their routes in advance,” the authority stated.

The diversion will help reduce congestion around Dragon Mart, a popular shopping destination, and ensure construction activities progress without disrupting the city’s transport network.

Advisory for Motorists

Motorists are strongly encouraged to:

  • Use alternative routes where possible to minimize delays.
  • Pay close attention to directional signboards placed by RTA.
  • Plan trips in advance to avoid peak-hour congestion.

These measures aim to provide a safer and more convenient commute for drivers and passengers in the area.

Dubai Metro Blue Line – A Game-Changer for Connectivity

The Dubai Metro Blue Line is a flagship infrastructure project that will significantly enhance the city’s connectivity. Once completed, the line will link key residential and commercial hubs, offering residents faster and more sustainable travel options. Temporary traffic diversions like the one near Dragon Mart are essential steps toward realizing this long-term vision.

The RTA’s traffic diversion near Dragon Mart demonstrates Dubai’s proactive approach to balancing development with daily commuter needs. By following the advisory, motorists can contribute to smoother traffic flow and safer roads while the Dubai Metro Blue Line takes shape—an investment that will redefine public transport in the emirate.
