In a significant update for car buyers, Kia Lucky Motors has officially announced a price revision for its popular compact hatchback, the Kia Picanto Automatic Transmission (AT) variant. Effective May 1, 2025, the new ex-factory price for the Picanto AT has been set at PKR 3,940,000, reflecting a price hike of PKR 90,000 from the previous rate of PKR 3,850,000.

Old vs New Picanto AT Price Breakdown:

Customers who have booked their vehicle and completed full payment by April 30, 2025, will be eligible for price protection and will be invoiced at the old price of PKR 3,850,000. However, new bookings from May 1 onward will be subject to the revised pricing.

It’s important to note that the listed prices are ex-factory and do not include freight, insurance, or additional government taxes. Any new duties or levies imposed at the time of delivery will be the buyer’s responsibility.

Why the Price Increase?

Although Kia Lucky Motors has not provided detailed reasons for the hike, the company cited “evolving market conditions” and reaffirmed its commitment to offering “exceptional value and uncompromised quality.” Price adjustments have become increasingly common in Pakistan’s automotive industry, largely due to currency depreciation, rising production costs, and new regulatory policies.

Is the Kia Picanto AT Still Worth It?

Despite the price revision, the Kia Picanto AT remains a solid contender in the small car segment. Known for its practicality, fuel efficiency, and compact urban-friendly design, it continues to appeal to first-time buyers and city drivers.

Consumers considering this model may want to act swiftly to secure the lower price before the April 30 deadline.
