United, one of Pakistan’s largest manufacturers of locally assembled motorcycles, has introduced the all-new United US100 2025 model. Known for catering to commercial consumers, especially the Chingchi and loader rickshaw market, this 100cc bike has gained significant popularity in recent years. With a fresh set of stickers, a trend sparked by Honda with their CD70 and CG125 models, United has followed suit, marking their new Chingchi-friendly motorcycle with this distinct visual update.

The Chingchi Trend

While some might wonder who buys a 100cc motorcycle from United, the answer is clear: commercial users, particularly those in the Chingchi (rickshaw) business. In fact, the United US100 is the go-to bike for nearly 95% of Chingchi owners. Why, you ask? One Chingchi driver explained, “United is the only option offered by rickshaw body makers. These bikes are reliable, and even if you drive them without oil, their engine holds up well.”

These rickshaw drivers often opt for custom-made bodies for their vehicles, preferring them over ready-made rickshaw bodies. This allows them to buy half-body bikes from United and add their own custom Chingchi body to it. Not only do custom bodies offer better build quality, but they also look more appealing.

The Pridor Rivalry That Never Happened

Originally, the United US100 was designed to compete with Honda’s Pridor, a popular bike in the 100cc category. However, things didn’t go as planned for United. Rather than capturing the attention of the Pridor’s target audience, the US100 found its niche among Chingchi drivers. Despite United’s efforts through marketing and public relations, the bike became widely recognized as the go-to Chingchi bike instead of a direct competitor to Pridor.

This unexpected shift in consumer base turned out to be beneficial for United, as their 100cc bike became a staple in the commercial rickshaw industry. Today, the United US100 accounts for 70% of United’s revenue, with Chingchi owners being the primary customers.

Pricing of the United US100 2025 Model

With the launch of the 2025 model, United has kept the pricing competitive for its target market. The following are the updated prices for the new US100 model with various configurations:

  • Half Spokes: Rs. 107,000
  • Half Alloy Rim: Rs. 112,000
  • Full Spokes: Rs. 120,000
  • Full Alloy Rim: Rs. 130,500

Our Verdict

United has fully embraced its role as the go-to motorcycle brand for Chingchi drivers with the US100. Although it was initially aimed at Pridor’s market, the bike has become an integral part of Pakistan’s commercial transport sector, thanks to its durability and customization options. With the 2025 model, United continues to provide reliable and affordable solutions for commercial users, further solidifying its position in the market.
