In a major step toward digital governance and improved public service delivery, the Sindh Police has launched a new digital traffic facility aimed at making traffic management and e-challan services more accessible for citizens. The initiative was formally inaugurated by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, Ghulam Nabi Memon, during a ceremony held at the Central Police Office (CPO) Karachi.
Along with the launch of Traffic Helpline 1915, the IG Sindh also inaugurated the SSP Traffic South Office at Artillery Maidan, marking a significant upgrade in traffic policing infrastructure. The move reflects Sindh Police’s commitment to modernizing its systems and strengthening communication with the public.
Fully Digital Traffic Helpline 1915
During the briefing, DIG Traffic Karachi Peer Muhammad Shah informed attendees that Traffic Helpline 1915 has been fully digitalized, allowing citizens to access traffic-related services from the comfort of their homes. Through the helpline, callers can obtain e-challan details, traffic guidance, complaint status updates, and general information without visiting traffic offices.
The digital system is designed to reduce public inconvenience, minimize queues at traffic offices, and promote transparency in traffic enforcement.
Enhanced Citizen–Police Connectivity
Speaking on the occasion, IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon emphasized that modern and well-equipped offices significantly improve the efficiency of traffic police operations. He said the newly launched support centers and digital e-challan services are already playing an effective role in better traffic management and faster complaint resolution.
Memon highlighted that Traffic Helpline 1915 serves as a direct communication bridge between citizens and traffic authorities. He directed officials to ensure that the helpline operates 24 hours a day, enabling people to seek assistance at any time.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by several senior officers, including the Additional IG Karachi, DIGs of Traffic and Training, SSPs Traffic South, AVLC, PDIT, and other high-ranking officials. The presence of senior leadership underscored the importance of the initiative within Sindh Police’s broader reform agenda.
A Step Toward Smarter Traffic Management
