The Rawalpindi Traffic Police have released the schedule for their mobile driving license vans, aiming to make the licensing process more convenient and accessible for citizens across the district. This initiative brings services directly to residents’ neighborhoods, saving them time and reducing the hassle of long queues at traffic offices.

Weekly Mobile Van Schedule

According to the official announcement, the schedule for the current week is as follows:

  • September 2 (Tuesday): Scut village, Tehsil Kallar Syedan
  • September 3 (Wednesday): Kuri Dolal village, Tehsil Gujar Khan
  • September 4 (Thursday): Raja Bazar near Fawara Chowk
  • September 5 (Friday): Jhawara Picket, Dhamial Camp
  • September 6 (Saturday): Gulzar-e-Quaid, Old Airport Road
  • September 7 (Sunday): Old Waran Depot, Saddar (special license tests for rickshaw drivers)

Purpose of the Initiative

Officials highlighted that the campaign is part of the department’s efforts to improve accessibility and convenience for citizens. Instead of traveling long distances or waiting in crowded offices, residents can now access driving license services right in their local areas. This approach is especially beneficial for individuals in remote villages and busy urban centers.

Services Offered

The mobile driving license vans provide:

  • Learner’s license issuance
  • Renewal of driving licenses
  • Regular driving license processing
  • On-site license tests for specific categories (including rickshaw drivers this week)

Impact on Residents

By extending services into different parts of Rawalpindi district, the mobile license vans ensure that a larger population can complete their documentation in a hassle-free way. This not only saves time but also helps maintain better crowd management at central traffic police offices.

The Rawalpindi Traffic Police have encouraged residents to take advantage of the facility when the mobile van arrives in their area. With this ongoing weekly campaign, the department is moving closer to its goal of providing efficient, citizen-friendly services.
