Punjab Government Reduces Transport Fares Following Petrol Price Drop

The Punjab government has announced a significant reduction in public transport fares following the recent decrease in petrol and diesel prices, providing much-needed financial relief to passengers. In a recent notification from the Finance Ministry, petrol prices were reduced by Rs. 2.07 per litre, bringing the new price to Rs. 247.03 per litre from the previous Rs. 249.10 per litre. Diesel prices saw an even greater reduction, with a drop of Rs. 3.40 per litre, setting the new price at Rs. 246.29 per litre compared to the earlier Rs. 249.69 per litre. These price reductions have paved the way for lower transport costs across the province.
