According to officials, teenagers who wish to obtain the permit must visit their nearest driving license center accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Applicants are required to present a valid proof of age issued by the National Database and Registration Authority, such as a B-Form or Juvenile CNIC.
This verification process ensures that only eligible minors within the 16–18 age bracket can apply for the permit. Authorities have emphasized that no application will be processed without proper documentation and parental presence.
Application Process Explained
At the licensing center, the applicant will receive a Juvenile Driving Permit form. The form requires basic personal information, including:
- Full name
- Father’s name
- Date of birth
- Nationality
- Residential address
- Contact details
A key feature of the application is the mandatory parent or guardian consent section. The accompanying adult must provide their CNIC number, state their relationship to the applicant, and share a valid mobile number. Additionally, a signed declaration granting permission for the minor to obtain the permit is compulsory.
After submitting the completed form, applicants will receive a PSID (Payment Slip ID) number. A processing fee of Rs. 500 must be paid to finalize the application.
