By The Punjab government has officially launched online registration for its December auction of premium vehicle number plates, offering citizens a fast, transparent, and completely digital way to secure special plates. The auction is being hosted through the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) in collaboration with the Punjab Excise and Taxation Department, ensuring a smooth and modernized bidding experience.
Through the PITB e-Auction App and web portal, citizens can register remotely and participate in bidding for their desired number plates until December 30. This initiative reflects Punjab’s ongoing efforts to digitize public services and make government processes more accessible to residents across the province.
Separate Auction Categories for All Vehicle Types
The online platform offers dedicated auction categories for:
- Motorcycles
- Motorcars
- Commercial vehicles
This categorization allows users to easily locate and bid for numbers relevant to their vehicle type. The system is designed with user-friendly navigation, ensuring a seamless experience even for first-time bidders.
Transparent Results Displayed in the App
One of the most innovative features of the PITB e-Auction system is its real-time results display. Participants can view the list of successful bidders directly within the app or web portal immediately after the auction concludes. This eliminates the need for citizens to visit any office, reducing wait times and enhancing convenience.

PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf emphasized that the digital platform has revolutionized the traditional auction model by moving the entire process online. He noted that the e-Auction system ensures greater transparency and convenience, allowing people to secure their preferred number plates from the comfort of their homes.
The December auction is expected to attract significant participation as more citizens embrace the ease of online bidding and the opportunity to acquire distinctive number plates.
