Punjab Safe Cities Authority Launches Online Portal to Cancel Duplicate Traffic Challans

The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has taken another step toward digital governance and citizen convenience by introducing a new online portal for traffic challan review and cancellation. This system enables citizens to dispute or cancel erroneous traffic challans, especially those issued multiple times for the same violation, without the need to visit PSCA offices or stand in long queues.

According to a PSCA spokesperson, technical or system glitches sometimes lead to duplicate challans being issued for the same date, time, or offense. The new PSCA e-Challan portal now allows users to submit review requests online, saving time and ensuring fairness in the enforcement process.

To use the service, citizens need to:

  1. Visit the PSCA e-Challan portal: https://echallan.psca.gop.pk/
  2. Enter their vehicle registration number and CNIC.
  3. Select the “Review” option.
  4. Provide a short explanation such as: “I have received the same challan for the same date and time twice.”

Once submitted, the PSCA team verifies the claim and removes any duplicate or invalid challans after confirmation.

Additionally, the PSCA Public Safety app, available on both Android and iOS, also supports e-Challan management. Users can view their challans, submit reviews, and stay updated on their application status directly from the app.

This initiative reflects the PSCA’s ongoing efforts to enhance transparency, promote efficiency, and improve citizen interaction with law enforcement through technology-driven solutions.

By making the challan review process digital, the PSCA aims to reduce the workload on physical offices and ensure citizens are not unfairly penalized due to system errors — a key step toward a smarter and more citizen-friendly Punjab.
