The federal government is likely to announce a petrol price hike for the next fortnight starting August 16, 2025, as part of its routine fuel price adjustment, according to ARY News sources.

As per initial estimates, the petrol price could rise by Rs1.32 per litre, while other key petroleum products may see significant reductions. Diesel prices are projected to drop by Rs11.75 per litre, kerosene by Rs6.25 per litre, and light diesel oil by Rs7.11 per litre.

Officials stated that preliminary calculations for the revised rates have been completed, and a pricing summary will soon be sent to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for final approval. The decision will be taken in consultation with the Ministry of Petroleum and the Ministry of Finance.
