The Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) has released its latest PAMA car sales figures showing a sharp rise across the country. According to the report, car sales climbed 27 percent month-on-month in August 2025, reflecting renewed demand and improved supply in the local automotive market.

Local manufacturers sold 14,050 units in August compared to 11,043 in July. Year-on-year data also paints a strong picture with a 62 percent increase from the 8,699 vehicles sold during the same period last year.

The overall trend highlights a strong recovery in the local auto sector. Passenger vehicles, particularly entry-level and mid-segment models, remain the key drivers of growth, even as some companies see dips in certain models.

Whether this momentum signals a sustained recovery or a temporary boost will depend on how demand and supply evolve in the coming months.
