Pakistan Railways has announced a new and improved train schedule for passengers traveling from Lahore and Faisalabad to major destinations including Karachi, Quetta, and Rawalpindi. The revised timetable is part of the department’s ongoing efforts to improve punctuality, streamline operations, and provide a more reliable travel experience for commuters.
According to the updated schedule, the Karakoram Express will now depart from Lahore to Karachi at 3:00 PM. The Pak Business Express, previously scheduled for 4:30 PM, will now leave at 5:45 PM, while the Karachi Express will depart at 6:00 PM. Additionally, the Green Line Express—which is accommodating Shah Hussain Express passengers today—will set off from Lahore to Karachi at 8:40 PM. Both the Karakoram Express and Pakistan Express will continue their journey via Sahiwal.
From Faisalabad, the Millat Express will leave for Karachi at 2:00 PM, following the Chak Jhumra – Sangla Hill – Lahore – Sahiwal route. The Rehman Baba Express will also operate on the same route to Karachi, enhancing connectivity for passengers from central Punjab.
In return trips, the Pakistan Express will travel from Karachi to Rawalpindi via Lahore and Sahiwal, while the Millat Express will head back to Faisalabad through Lahore, Sahiwal, Sangla Hill, and Chak Jhumra. Moreover, the Rehman Baba Express (47 Up) will operate from Lahore to Peshawar, also passing through Sahiwal.
Pakistan Railways has urged all passengers to verify exact departure and arrival times from their nearest stations, as minor adjustments to the timetable may continue based on operational needs.
This update is seen as a positive move toward improving train service reliability, reducing delays, and enhancing intercity travel convenience for thousands of daily commuters across Pakistan.
