Pak Tractor Manufacturing Company has announced the launch of three powerful tractor models with horsepower ranging from 105 to 140, addressing a significant performance gap in the Pakistani agricultural machinery market. These new tractors—EX1054, X1204, and EX1404—are being introduced through a partnership with YTO Group, the largest tractor manufacturer in China.
Until now, most tractors in Pakistan maxed out at 75–85 HP, limiting productivity in larger and more demanding farming operations. With only around 1,000 to 2,000 high-powered tractors in operation nationally, this new offering aims to change the landscape by adding 500 to 1,000 units annually.
Tractor Models and Expected Pricing
| Model | Horsepower | Price (PKR) |
|---|---|---|
| EX1054 | 105 HP | 7.2 million |
| X1204 | 120 HP | 10.5 million |
| EX1404 | 140 HP | 11.9 million |
Initially, units will be available as Completely Built Units (CBUs), but the company plans to set up a local assembly line within a year.
Advanced Features and Technology
All three models come with robust features to handle challenging soil conditions, heavy-duty tasks, and long operating hours:
- YTO Engine with 30% torque reserve and low fuel consumption
- High fuel injection pressure for better combustion and efficiency
- Air prefilter (desert filter) with automatic dust removal and no daily maintenance
- Independent double-acting LUK clutch for precise PTO and driving control
- Italian drivetrain technology with excellent transmission efficiency
- Safe wet disc brakes with double-circuit air brake for trailer control
- Dual PTO speeds (540 & 1000 r/min) to meet varied operational needs
- Hydraulic output with 2-pair standard and 3-pair optional ports
- Force-down lifter for improved performance in poor soil conditions
- Weight ballasts on front and rear to ensure stability during operations
Market Strategy and Government Support
The company will work through a nationwide dealer network for customer bookings, while handling bulk institutional and corporate orders (10–30 units) directly. These tractors will also be part of the government’s interest-free loan scheme, making them accessible to more farmers.
CEO Humza Wazir noted the importance of raising awareness to drive adoption and phase out outdated equipment. This launch is not just a product update—it’s a strategic push to modernize Pakistani agriculture.
With the introduction of high horsepower tractors in Pakistan, Pak Tractor Manufacturing Company is setting a new benchmark for efficiency, durability, and technological innovation in the agricultural machinery sector. This move is poised to transform farming operations, especially for large-scale and corporate farms.
