The electric vehicle (EV) race in Pakistan just got more exciting with the official launch of the Omoda E5 EV by NextGen Auto, a subsidiary of Hyundai Nishat Motors. Priced at PKR 8,990,000, the Omoda E5 joins the ranks of premium electric SUVs in the country, with bookings open at PKR 1,700,000 and an estimated delivery time of 2.5 months.

Chery x NextGen Auto: A Strategic Partnership

Earlier this year, Chery announced a strategic collaboration with NextGen Auto to bring its global EV lineup to Pakistan. The Omoda E5 marks the first product from this venture, targeting eco-conscious consumers seeking luxury, technology, and efficiency in a single package.

Under the hood, the Omoda E5 is powered by a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor that delivers 204 hp and 340 Nm of torque. It’s front-wheel drive and equipped with Eco, Normal, and Sport modes for a versatile driving experience.
