In a significant step toward modernizing public services, the Lahore Traffic Police has launched state-of-the-art traffic service kiosks to make licensing and related services more accessible and efficient for citizens. These modern kiosks will allow people to apply for and receive motorcycle driving licenses on the spot without visiting crowded traffic offices.

Smart Traffic Services Inspired by Global Models

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Dr. Athar Waheed stated that the initiative is modeled after systems used in developed countries, with the aim of simplifying public access to traffic services in Pakistan. The first kiosk has been successfully installed at Afshan Chowk on Mall Road, one of Lahore’s busiest intersections.

On-the-Spot Licensing with Advanced Technology

The newly launched Lahore traffic service kiosk is equipped with modern tools, including a loudspeaker system for traffic communication, on-site data processing equipment, and digital license issuance capabilities. Citizens can now obtain motorcycle licenses quickly and conveniently without long wait times or unnecessary paperwork.

Round-the-Clock Support and Facilities for Wardens

Traffic wardens will be deployed 24/7 at the kiosks, and their well-being has also been considered. Facilities such as air conditioning, cold drinking water, and resting areas have been provided at each kiosk to ensure comfort and performance during long shifts.

More Kiosks Coming Soon to Gulberg, Iqbal Town and Beyond

Supervised by SP Headquarters Mansoor-ul-Hassan and directed by the Chief Minister of Punjab, the initiative will expand to other key areas of Lahore, including Gulberg and Iqbal Town, in the coming phases.

A New Era of Convenience for Lahore’s Drivers

The Lahore Traffic Police’s new kiosk system is a promising leap forward in public service delivery, offering fast, reliable, and convenient driving license services in Lahore—right where people need them the most.
