The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has launched a large-scale road restoration initiative, beginning work on 106 road repair projects across District South, District Central, and District Malir. The long-awaited program aims to improve Karachi’s deteriorating road infrastructure while ensuring complete transparency and direct citizen involvement.
Citizen Access and Transparency
Unlike previous projects, residents can now directly contact the engineers in charge of their respective areas to lodge complaints, request updates, or report issues. This system is designed to eliminate bureaucratic hurdles, hold contractors accountable, and ensure timely completion of projects.
KMC has also introduced a direct complaint system where unresolved issues can be escalated to Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab through WhatsApp (0321-1242490) or the official website www.kmc.gos.pk.

A Step Toward Better Urban Infrastructure
This initiative signals a new era in Karachi’s infrastructure management where citizen participation is central to success. With over 100 projects in progress, residents can expect gradual improvements in road quality, reduced travel difficulties, and more efficient city mobility.
