Karachi’s Traffic Plan for Champions Trophy 2025

With the Champions Trophy 2025 and the ongoing Tri-Nation Series set to take place in Karachi, the city’s traffic police have implemented a comprehensive traffic plan to ensure smooth vehicular movement on match days. Fans and residents should take note of the designated routes, parking areas, and diversions to avoid inconvenience.

Parking areas will be available at the National Coaching Centre, the Expo Centre, and China Ground. Fans arriving from Karsaz will be directed to these parking zones via the flyover route. The gates will open three hours before the match starts, while surrounding roads will remain open for general traffic.

All matches will be played at National Stadium Karachi on the following dates:

• February 12-14

• February 19-21

• March 1

Traffic Management Plan

Routes Open for Traffic

To facilitate movement around the stadium, Sir Shah Suleman Road will remain open for general traffic on match days.

Heavy vehicles will be allowed to travel from Sohrab Goth to Nipa, Liaquatabad No 10 to Hassan Square, and PP Chowrangi to University Road. However, access will be restricted from Karsaz to the stadium, Millennium to New Town, and Stadium Signal to Hassan Square.

Designated Parking Areas

Spectators are encouraged to use the following designated parking areas to avoid congestion:

• Fans arriving from Karsaz can park at National Coaching Center & China Ground.

• Fans coming via Millennium should also use National Coaching Center & China Ground.

Proper security arrangements will be in place at these parking zones, and shuttle services may be provided for convenience.

Public access to the stadium will be via the main gates and gates No 4, 5, 6, 12, 13, and 14, with VIP vehicles entering through gate 8. Vehicles equipped with CNG cylinders will not be permitted inside the stadium.

Heavy Traffic Diversions

To minimize congestion near the stadium, heavy vehicles will be diverted as follows:

• Traffic from Sohrab Goth → Diverted to NIPA.

• Traffic from Liaquatabad No. 10 → Diverted to Hassan Square.

• Traffic from Peoples Chowrangi → Diverted to University Road.

Road Closures for Heavy Traffic

To ensure smooth access for spectators and emergency services, heavy traffic will not be allowed on the following routes:

• Karsaz to Stadium Road

• Millennium to Tanio Town

• Stadium Signal to Hassan Square

Important Advisory for Spectators

To avoid disruptions, spectators are urged to park only in designated areas and follow police instructions. Unauthorized parking may lead to vehicle towing. Additionally, fans should plan their travel accordingly and arrive early to avoid last-minute congestion.
