Karachi Traffic Police Launches TRACS App for Monitoring Digital Traffic Violations

The Karachi Traffic Police has taken another major step toward smart traffic management by launching the “TRACS for Citizens” app, a modern mobile application that allows residents to monitor their digital traffic violations, check e-challans, and track demerit points directly from their smartphones.

Developed under the Traffic Regulation and Control System (TRACS), this app is designed to make Karachi’s roads safer and more transparent while reducing the hassle of manual verification and physical visits to traffic offices.

How to Download and Install the TRACS App

Citizens can download the “TRACS for Citizens” application directly from the official Sindh Police website at www.sindhpolice.gov.pk. The app is compatible with most Android devices and can be easily installed in just a few steps.

Registration Process

To access the app’s features, users must register by providing their:

  • Full Name
  • CNIC Number
  • Mobile Number
  • Email Address

After registration, users can log in to their personalized dashboard for real-time information.

Key Features of the TRACS App

The app offers a range of features aimed at improving citizen experience and accountability:

  • Vehicle Information: View all vehicles registered under your name.
  • Demerit Points: Track your driving performance with an updated score.
  • E-Challan Details: Access detailed information about any violation, including the date, time, location, and even photo evidence.
  • Notifications: Get instant alerts about new challans along with a PSID number for easy online or bank payment.
  • Feedback & Complaints: Submit suggestions or lodge complaints directly within the app.

Warning About Fake E-Challan Alerts

The Karachi Traffic Police has warned citizens to beware of fake e-challan SMS alerts from unknown or public numbers. Only notifications sent via the official TRACS system are valid and authorized.

Currently, more than 1,076 surveillance cameras operate under the TRACS network across Karachi, automatically monitoring traffic violations and generating e-challans.

The TRACS app marks a significant leap forward in digital policing, bringing convenience, transparency, and safety to Karachi’s roads — all while empowering citizens to stay informed and responsible behind the wheel.
