Significance of Ramadan
Ramadan-ul-Mubarak, the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar, is a sacred period observed by Muslims worldwide. During this month, Muslims engage in fasting, abstaining from food, drink, gossip, and cursing from dawn to sunset.
The month is a time for spiritual reflection, self-discipline, and devotion. Muslims are encouraged to focus on:
- Prayer and worship
- Reading the Holy Quran
- Charitable acts and helping those in need
As the city gears up for the sacred month, authorities are expected to implement traffic management strategies to ease congestion and ensure smooth mobility for residents.
