JW Group Teams Up with Jinpeng to Launch Electric Bikes in Pakistan

JW Group has announced a landmark partnership with China’s Jinpeng Group, the world’s largest electric tricycle maker. This collaboration is set to reshape electric bikes in Pakistan and three wheeler market by introducing new production lines for both electric and gasoline models.

How the Partnership Will Transform the Market

Production has already begun at JW’s Lahore facility, marking a major milestone for the local auto industry. The initiative supports Pakistan’s move toward stronger domestic manufacturing and gradual adoption of clean mobility solutions.

JW Group already operates a joint venture with China’s SAIC Motor International, assembling MG vehicles in Pakistan. The new tie up with Jinpeng adds more depth to its automotive portfolio and signals a push to diversify into sustainable transport.

Key highlights of the collaboration include the launch of electric and gasoline lines at JW’s Lahore plant. The use of JW’s nationwide distribution network alongside Jinpeng’s electric vehicle expertise, and plans to position Pakistan as a future export hub for new energy vehicles. The project is to create jobs and drive industrial growth linked to clean mobility.

JW Corporation CEO Javed Afridi said the partnership blends local capacity with Jinpeng’s technology. Creating opportunities for electric bikes Pakistan and beyond. He emphasized that it could make the country a hub for South Asian EV exports.

Jinpeng CEO Zakir Ali highlighted Pakistan’s market potential and stated that the plan includes developing a comprehensive electric mobility ecosystem. With over 400 patents, Jinpeng aims to balance current fuel needs while steering toward electrification.

This partnership represents a significant step toward modernizing Pakistan’s two and three wheeler segment. Offering affordable electric options and building the foundations of a greener transport future.
