In a significant step for Pakistan’s automotive industry, Omoda & Jaecoo Pakistan has officially launched the locally assembled Jaecoo J7 SHS PHEV, marking the brand’s latest entry into the country’s competitive mid-size hybrid SUV segment. The introductory ex-factory price of the vehicle has been set at PKR 9,999,000, making it one of the most competitively priced plug-in hybrid SUVs in its class.

The automaker has also announced that bookings are now open nationwide, requiring a partial payment of PKR 2 million. According to company officials, deliveries will begin in January 2026, giving early customers a head start in securing this premium plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV).

A Leap Toward Local Assembly and Clean Mobility

The launch of the locally assembled Jaecoo J7 SHS PHEV underscores Omoda & Jaecoo’s commitment to strengthening local manufacturing and sustainable mobility solutions in Pakistan. Local assembly not only helps reduce import costs but also supports the government’s vision for localized production of eco-friendly vehicles under the Auto Industry Development and Export Policy (AIDEP).

With this launch, Pakistan joins a growing number of countries adopting plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) that combine the efficiency of an electric powertrain with the flexibility of a traditional internal combustion engine. The Jaecoo J7 SHS PHEV aims to deliver the best of both worlds — lower emissions, higher fuel efficiency, and enhanced performance.

Positioned Against Hybrid Rivals

The Jaecoo J7 SHS PHEV enters a segment already populated by strong contenders such as the Haval H6 PHEV, MG HS PHEV, and Changan Oshan X7. However, its combination of premium design, cutting-edge hybrid technology, and local assembly advantage may help it carve a unique space in Pakistan’s SUV market.

The SHS (Super Hybrid System) is designed to offer seamless power delivery, extended all-electric driving range, and optimized fuel consumption, catering to environmentally conscious buyers who seek both luxury and efficiency.

Bookings and Delivery Timeline

Interested buyers can now book the Jaecoo J7 SHS PHEV at authorized Omoda & Jaecoo dealerships across Pakistan by paying a PKR 2 million booking amount. The company has confirmed that deliveries will commence in January 2026, with early units expected to be allocated to pre-booked customers.

A New Era for Pakistan’s Hybrid SUV Market

The launch of the Jaecoo J7 SHS PHEV marks a major milestone for Omoda & Jaecoo Pakistan as it brings locally assembled hybrid innovation to the forefront of the country’s evolving automotive landscape. With competitive pricing, advanced hybrid technology, and local assembly, the J7 SHS PHEV is poised to redefine expectations for mid-size hybrid SUVs in Pakistan.
