Islamabad Traffic Police Releases Two-Week Facilitation Van Schedule

The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has announced a comprehensive two-week operational schedule for its facilitation vans aimed at improving access to licensing and traffic-related services across the federal capital. The initiative will run from December 22, 2025, to January 4, 2026, providing citizens with convenient daytime and evening service options.

According to an ITP spokesperson, the facilitation vans will operate daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at designated police checkposts throughout Islamabad. To accommodate working individuals and those unable to visit during office hours, the vans will also be stationed at major commercial markets between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm, ensuring continued service availability during evening hours.

Purpose of the Facilitation Van Initiative

The spokesperson stated that the primary objective of the facilitation van initiative is to decentralize traffic services and bring them closer to citizens. By extending service hours into the evening and rotating locations across the city, the Islamabad Traffic Police aims to reduce congestion at traffic offices while improving overall public convenience.

This approach reflects ITP’s broader commitment to citizen-centric policing, ensuring essential traffic services remain accessible without unnecessary delays or long queues.

Dedicated Services for Women and Senior Citizens

In addition to the mobile facilitation vans, the Traffic Office Faizabad will offer special service hours exclusively for women and senior citizens. These services will be available daily from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm, providing a more comfortable and prioritized environment for vulnerable groups seeking licence-related assistance.

Services Available at Facilitation Vans

Citizens visiting the facilitation vans can avail themselves of a wide range of services, including:

  • Issuance of learner driving permits
  • Renewal of driving licences
  • Issuance of duplicate driving licences
  • Processing of character certificates
  • Issuance of reports for lost documents

The Islamabad Traffic Police has advised residents to visit the nearest facilitation van according to the announced schedule to avoid inconvenience and ensure timely service delivery.

Enhancing Public Access to Traffic Services

The two-week facilitation van schedule is part of ITP’s ongoing efforts to modernize traffic management and improve service efficiency across Islamabad. By combining mobile service units with extended operating hours, the department aims to make traffic-related services more accessible, transparent, and user-friendly for all citizens.

Residents are encouraged to stay informed about van locations and timings to fully benefit from this public facilitation initiative.
