By The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has released a comprehensive schedule for its facilitation vans, aimed at providing easy access to traffic and driving licence services across the federal capital. The initiative is designed to reduce congestion at traffic offices and bring essential services closer to citizens through designated police checkposts and major commercial markets.
According to ITP officials, facilitation vans will operate daily from 9:00am to 5:00pm at selected naka points across Islamabad. In the evening, services will shift to busy marketplaces from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, allowing working individuals to avail facilities after office hours. Additionally, a dedicated facilitation window for senior citizens and women will remain functional at the Faizabad Traffic Office from 1:00pm to 7:00pm.
City Zone Operations
In the City Zone, facilitation van GAC-656, supervised by Sadaqat Shah, will operate at the Foreign Office Checkpost from 9:00am to 1:00pm, followed by the Zero Point Checkpost from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Evening services will be offered at Super Market (Monday and Tuesday), Jinnah Super Market (Wednesday and Thursday), Aabpara (Friday), and Blue Area (Saturday).
Saddar Zone Coverage
For the Saddar Zone, van IDP-1387 (PS on Wheel) under SI Asim Zaidi will serve citizens at G-14 Checkpost from 9:00am to 1:00pm and E-9 Checkpost from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Evening facilitation will be available at G-9 Markaz (Monday and Tuesday), G-8 Markaz (Wednesday), F-10 Markaz (Thursday), F-11 Markaz (Friday), and Centaurus Mall (Saturday).
I-Area and Rural Zones
In the I-Area Zone, facilitation van GAC-709, supervised by Abdul Qadeer, will operate at Gandam Godam Checkpost from 9:00am to 1:00pm and 9th Avenue Checkpost from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Market-based services will be available at I-8 Markaz from Monday to Thursday and I-10 Markaz on Friday and Saturday.
For the Rural Zone, van GD-896 under Aqib Khan will operate at Faizabad Checkpost from 9:00am to 11:00am and Best Western Checkpost from 11:00am to 1:00pm.
Services Offered
The facilitation vans provide a wide range of services, including learner permits, driving licence issuance and renewal, duplicate licences, character certificates, and reports of lost documents. Citizens are encouraged to visit the nearest facilitation van according to the announced schedule to avoid unnecessary delays.
